2021 marks the year of cooperation between Airbnb and town halls!

Indeed, in 9 French cities, if you want to publish your ad on Airbnb, no more dead ends possible. More precisely, you will need to register at the town hall and indicate your registration number on your ad. Because, otherwise, the Airbnb platform will block your listing.

The New Airbnb Cooperation Policy: One Issue or No Publication

First, among the 9 French cities concerned, 2 successive stages are put in place:

  • Stage 1: Paris, Lyon and Bordeaux
  • Stage 2: End of 2021, Lille, Marseille, Marseille, Nantes, Nantes, Nice, Strasbourg and Toulouse

Concretely, any host or concierge must display on the announcement the registration number issued by the Town Hall. However, a small clarification, this only concerns rentals of less than 30 days. Beyond that, no need for a registration number, the announcement will be published.

Finally, the other platforms will therefore be asked shortly to follow the movement... To be continued.
