6 astuces pour préserver la planète et réduire facture d'eau et d'énergie propriétaire

All our tips for consuming less water

  • Find leaks and fix them quickly. A dripping tap is up to 5 liters per hour wasted (120 liters per day), a leaking toilet flush, more than 600 liters per day, (i.e. the daily consumption of a family of 4 people).
  • Prefer quick showers (less than 5 minutes) to baths;
  • Turn off the water while soaping;
  • Install foamers on the faucets. They mix tiny air bubbles into the flowing water. The flow is thus reduced by 30% to 50% without losing comfort!
  • Install an economical hand shower that limits water flow while optimizing jet pressure. As a result, up to 75% of water is saved! And by using less hot water, you also save energy.
  • Do not pre-wash dishes before putting them in the dishwasher;
  • Fully fill your washing machine or dishwasher before use.
  • Install an automatic drip irrigation system;
  • Install a rainwater collector. For a 100 square meter roof, that's 70 cubic meters of free water per year.

All our tips for consuming less energy

  • Adjust the temperature according to your needs using a programmable thermostat (cost of 60 to 250 euros) and save up to 15% on heating.
    The ideal average temperature is 19°C inside the home. It can be adjusted according to the use of the rooms, the times of the day, your presence, to save energy while keeping your home comfortable.7°C the rest of the time
  • Lower the heat in case of a short absence and when the outside temperature is milder;
  • In case of prolonged absence, switch the heating off the frost;
  • Lower the heating by 1°C: minus 7% consumption;
  • In summer, prefer the fan to the air conditioner
  • Turn off the light when leaving a room
  • Completely switch off your electrical and electronic devices rather than leaving them on standby, this is up to 10% electricity savings.
  • Completely turn off the computer, television, game console, game console, TV, TV box... when they are unused
  • Switch off the box completely before going to sleep. A box that is on all the time consumes as much as a small refrigerator in one year!
  • Plug multiple devices into a power strip with a switch to turn everything off more easily.
  • Insulate the pipes and the hot water tank;
  • Set the water heater temperature between 50 and 55°C;
  • Set the water heater to off-peak hours
  • Wash clothes at 30°C, this consumes 3 times less energy than washing at 90°C
  • Give priority to Eco programs. The dishwasher's eco mode consumes up to 45% less electricity compared to the intensive program.
